PROJECT
After several years, a Connecticut university decided it was time for a dorm-room refresh. The university chose to paint 262 rooms with a campus-standardized color.
All work needed to be completed quickly over the summer, before students returned in the fall. The university set a deadline of August 15. Adform got right to work in late June, moving furniture, removing loose paint, making masonry repairs, caulking, and prepping the rooms before painting them.
In addition, dorm rooms were spread across 24 different buildings or towers. Crews entered each tower on the fourth floor, which added a bit of complexity. Once crews finished a block of rooms, they would pack everything up and move to the next tower. The goal was to complete four building-towers per week, over six weeks.
The university’s facilities team was updated on the progress at every step, giving them confidence that Adform would complete the project on time.
Despite the large number of rooms spread across different buildings, Adform completed the work one week before the August 15 deadline. Additionally, tile repairs were required in eight bathrooms of another building on campus. Everything was completed in six weeks!
