PROJECT
Summary:
Right-sizing the office space to meet post-pandemic needs, Otis decommissioned two floors and updated the third floor. The renovations included the installation of workstations, railway booths, phone booths, and a café with open meeting areas. The entire floor was transformed into a gathering place that fosters a level of collaboration and interaction that is difficult to achieve in virtual meetings. Whether working independently or in small groups, the floor has also become a community space that allows employees to re-connect with one another.
Challenge:
The client looks to us as a trusted partner. We had done a project for them in 2019 and because of the recent project we had done they were happy with, they rolled us into their next project. They needed to get this project done quickly; we worked hand in hand with their facilities and design team along with our interior design team. A quick completion of this project included reusing a lot of existing furniture, which even meant $75000 worth of trucking fees to bring workstations and other furniture from Florida, instead of spending over half a million dollars on new office furniture.
Solution:
The end result was that the client was very pleased with the creativity that our interior designer brought to the table along with the speed off our crews, completing the project (which was over 40,000 sq ft) in a 4 month timeframe.
