Welcome to the Collaboration Zone!

Our featured project for this issue is a state of the art lounge/collaboration space for a confidential Fortune 500 company, based in Farmington, CT. Our client asked us to design, build-out and furnish a 2,000 sq. ft. space, which included a lounge, game table, snack center, and collaboration space. The goal was to design a space that emphasized “let’s collaborate” while feeling at home. The employees could gather to take a break, play some ping pong, have a snack, & collaborate on a project using white boards and a large video screen.

In partnership with Stylex , IOF , Special-T , and input of their facilities manager we executed and coordinated all design, plus on-time supply and installation of the furniture. The design includes the following from the Stylex collections: Yoom for the collaboration couches; NYC Wrapover for the lounge chairs and satay; and Dia for the lounge coffee table. For worksurfaces we turned to IOF for custom high counter work benches and Special-T’s Sienna X Cafe Power for the bar height round tables.

Here is an interesting Forbes article that highlights the benefits of creating a collaborative space titled “How Offices Are Innovating To Improve Our Happiness, Productivity And Well Being .”
