Where All Great Things Meet – The Collision Space
Our featured project for this issue is a Collision Space for a confidential Fortune 500 company, based in Farmington, CT. We worked with our client’s internal design team to build-out and furnish a popular hallway, where employees were colliding and having spontaneous meetings. The goal was to design a space that emphasized “Hey, I’ve been meaning to meet with you. Do you have a few minutes?” while having a place to rest their laptop along with a whiteboard to start mapping out their plans and ideas.
In partnership with Special-T and input of their facilities manager, we executed and coordinated all design, plus on-time supply and installation of the furniture. The project included construction of high-top counters, flooring, paint, finishes, and a whiteboard. The millwork included providing and installing Special-T stainless steel post legs bar height; custom granite countertops; supplied and installed Mohawk flooring (better together C0097/ancestral 884); Johnsonite vinyl wall base; and installed client supplied glass whiteboard.
Here is an interesting Forbes article that highlights how to bring life back into meeting and spaces titled “5 Ways to Make Boring Meetings Exciting Again.”

Adform Interiors Hung Out with CRT
For the past 28 years, Community Renewal Team, Inc. (CRT) has hosted an annual National Arts Program, providing an opportunity for local artists to showcase their art within the community. Youth, teens, amateurs, intermediate and professional artists from both Middlesex and Hartford Counties submitted their work for the 2019 art show, on display at Capital Community College from February 11, 2019, to March 9, 2019. Adform Interiors volunteered on February 8 hanging over 200 pieces of artwork. Dan Eckels, a project supervisor at Adform Interiors played a key role in hanging over 200 pieces of artwork. Adform Interiors was honored to assist in displaying all of the local artist’s fine work.
