PROJECT

Men’s and women’s restrooms at the community college were last renovated 30 years ago. In addition to making some long-overdue updates, the restrooms are now fully accessible and ADA-compliant. The state-of-the-art bathrooms feature touchless auto-sensing toilets, sinks, and paper towel dispensers. Storage bins inside each stall are an innovative way to hold personal items. Restroom doors that open outwards give students a “hands-free” exit. The toilet paper dispensers are also located to give a little more maneuvering room in the stalls and at a more convenient height. New flooring, wall tiles, ceiling, lighting, and partitions complement the modern fixtures. After three decades of use, other much-needed but less visible updates include new plumbing, smoke detectors, speakers, and electrical wiring.
